AREDN MESH Go Box – Project Write Up
I needed a go box of mesh stuffs that could be deployed quickly and contain some PIs, an access point and an AREDN node.
I am quite fond of the Really Useful Box series and have a number of them with project parts and tools in etc. So I choose a 9L box to try and fit some bits in.
AREDN MESH Go Box.
AREDN MESH node boxed up with a couple of PIs. One VoIP Server and one Intranet/File Server. Space for one more coming.
Also includes a Wi-Fi access point. The Mikrotik RouterBoard is running The Dude Server and also allows some MESH to Local Network traffic routing.

New City Fibre install at my house. I think I got in their way quite a bit !
Swollen batteries removed from my MacBook.
Not the easiest things to remove as there is a fair amount of glue !! Removed the glue from the case and fitted new ones. Good for another few years.
Anderson Power Pole panel mount has arrived completing the new battery box.
Battery Box – Project Write Up
Fitted the USB socket and volt meter. Now just waiting the delivery of the Anderson Power Pole panel mount.
I thought this was neat. USB charging port with voltmeter and switch.
Now that is a snug fit !
I would appear that 3 x 7ah batteries are a perfect fit.
New little project for this week…
I have plans to make a battery box for field activities from this ammo box.
New box arrived on the street…
This looks hopeful that City Fibre has finally arrived in my locality.
