The Secrets of Underground Britain
Some really good videos here of abandoned military bases, silos and bunkers. I make an appearance in one of the videos on a trip to Berlin.
In February 2016 I went on a Crazy Places Tour of Cold War bunkers and buildings around Berlin including Teufelsberg and the U-Boat Command Bunker.
Crazy Places is a creation from our boss Rob Hammond who has an unhealthy obsession of the Cold War era. Crazy Tours is an off shoot from our main company.
Teufelsberg in Grunewald was an American listening station built during the Cold War. It sits on a man-made hill, created in the 20 years following the Second World War of debris from Berlin. The US National Security Agency (NSA) built it operated from here and is rumoured to be part of the global ECHELON intelligence gathering network.
